Dream Catcher

I was searching for rose scents, as I was going through a mini obsession. This is sweet, smooth and is along the likes of a “dessert” perfume to me. Another way my brain interprets this is a “party” scent. Like it’s not sexy, but it’s fun, happy and womanly. I see this on a woman who has a mimosa in hand, chatting to girlfriends, grilled halloumi salad, crisp bread w cream cheese, summer sunset type of vibes. I love rose jam type of scents and while this isn’t fully on that spectrum to me, I like it for its uniqueness. I’ve never smelled the original. But the original is $500+ like wtf. I have 3x because I never want to run out!

I’m no professional at writing the notes of a perfume, so I’ll just say how I feel when I wear it and what I do with it. I layer this with Zara’s rose gourmand as this is my true ultimate signature for a rose purfume, but I like to experiment. I layer these or spray at different areas to get an aura of smells. First time I tried this my boss liked the smell and asked what it was. For me it makes me smell youthful but in an older sort of way. It smells fun but mature, flirty but reserved. I’m 39 but it matches my personality and who i like to project into my environment. Positive, uplifting and feminine. Very pleasant to smell. Nothing overpowering and while I’ve never smelled the original it smells like a distant flanker for baby doll YSL but a grown up version. Maybe my nose is already used to it but I feel like the sillage is medium. Projection is just in my immediate surroundings but doesn’t fill a room. I feel like I have to reapply at least once in the day. If I apply it at 5.30am, I definitely feel like I have to apply it around lunch time. But it’s okay because I bought two more bottles! If you like rose type uplifting scents like the Chloe line then you’ll like this.

I love this scent, similar to the original - very close, slightly lighter and fruity. A perfect dupe for some savings, I’d buy it again for sure.
