Our independence from designer brands

Amara Parfums is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to any of the designer or luxury fragrance brands we reference on our website, in our product titles, or in our marketing materials. We are an entirely independent business.

Why we reference designer fragrances

Fragrance is famously hard to describe in words. The most useful shorthand for communicating what a perfume smells like is to compare it to a fragrance the customer may already know. References to designer fragrances on our product pages and in our product titles are made solely for this comparative descriptive purpose — to help shoppers identify the scent profile and inspiration of our independently formulated perfumes.

This is the same comparative-use principle long-recognised in trademark law: identifying another party's product by name to describe a characteristic of one's own product is a legitimate, non-infringing use, provided no confusion is created about the source or origin of the goods.
